Most first-time paddlers on Flathead Lake choose the 2 or 3-hour option. If you want to paddle further up the shoreline, explore a quieter cove, or simply take your time without watching the clock, the 4-hour window is the most popular step up. The 5-hour and longer options are best for paddlers who want a full morning or afternoon on the water.

About the Experience
Flathead Lake sits at 2,893 feet in northwest Montana, fed by glacial runoff from the surrounding mountains. The water is clear enough to see the bottom in calm shallows, and the north shore launch in Somers puts you close to some of the best flatwater paddling on the lake. From the board you get an unobstructed view in every direction — the lake in front, the Missions to the east, the Swan Range to the northeast.
Stand-up paddleboarding here is genuinely accessible for beginners. The lake is calm in the mornings and early afternoons most summer days, and our boards are wide and stable — designed for flatwater cruising, not competition. If you have never been on a paddleboard before, this is a good place to start.

Good to Know Before You Book
Cancellations: Full refunds and credits are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled rental. Cancellations inside the 48-hour window are not eligible for refund or credit. No-shows are charged the full booking amount.
Weather: We operate in wind, rain, and overcast conditions. Rentals are only cancelled when conditions are determined to be life-threatening. In that case, our team will contact you directly to arrange a reschedule.
Late Arrivals: Your rental window begins at your scheduled start time regardless of when you arrive. Arrivals more than 5 minutes late will be charged an additional hour per rented item. We cannot extend your booking into a subsequent reservation. Plan to arrive a few minutes early.
